EcoVroom was created to explore exactly this opportunity.
Combining behavioural science, artificial intelligence and environmental intelligence, EcoVroom is developing an evidence-based mobility ecosystem that helps transform unused vehicle capacity into measurable environmental, economic and social value.
Why Mobility Needs a New Perspective
Private cars remain the dominant form of passenger transport across Europe, accounting for approximately 83% of inland passenger transport. At the same time, road transport remains the largest contributor to transport-related
greenhouse gas emissions.
For decades, improving mobility has largely meant building additional infrastructure or developing new technologies.
Both remain important.
However, international research increasingly recognises another opportunity:

This is where EcoVroom begins.
Beyond Ride Sharing.

The VROOM Framework
At the heart of EcoVroom lies the VROOM Framework — Verified Register of Optimised Mobility.
Rather than viewing a shared journey as an isolated event, the framework considers each journey as part of a continuously learning mobility ecosystem.
Every completed journey contributes to four interconnected objectives:
improving vehicle occupancy;
strengthening trust between participants;
generating reliable environmental evidence; and
improving future mobility recommendations.
The framework continuously integrates behavioural insights, mobility intelligence and environmental measurement,
creating an ecosystem that becomes progressively more effective over time.
Scientific Foundation
EcoVroom has been designed from the outset as an evidence-based project.
Its development draws upon internationally recognised research in:

Rather than relying on assumptions or marketing claims, the project seeks to build upon established scientific knowledge and internationally recognised methodologies, including work published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the European Commission, the European Environment Agency (EEA), the International Energy Agency (IEA), Verra and leading peer-reviewed research.
Science is not an additional feature of EcoVroom.
